Meet Our Doctors

Pittsburgh Gynob is the largest obstetrics and gynecology group at West Penn Hospital.  It is one of the largest groups in the region.  The group includes six outstanding physicians:  Gary R. Bergman MD, Rick Ferris DO, Jennifer H. Gallagher DO, Robin McGuire DO,  Diane Sober MD, and Ingrid Wecht MD. We also have a nurse practitioner that works with our doctors, Emily J. McCormish as well as a PA-C Susan Graff.

The practice, which has offices at West Penn Hospital, Cranberry Township, Brookline and Allison Park, performs approximately 400 deliveries and 500-600 gynecological surgeries each year.

GRBGary R. Bergman, MD, FACOG

Gary R. Bergman, MD received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.  A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the Pittsburgh Obstetrical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

 RSF Rick S. Ferris, DO, FACOG

Rick S. Ferris, DO graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship at Shenango Valley Medical Center and a residency at Hahnemann University School of Medicine.  A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of obstetrician and Gynecologists, the American Osteopathic Association, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, and  the Pittsburgh Obstetrical Society.

 JHDJennifer H. Gallagher, DO

Jennifer H. Gallagher DO received her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital.  Dr. Gallagher is also a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.

RAM  Robin A. McGuire, DO

Robin A. McGuire, DO graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship and residency at Doctors Hospital/Ohio University.  She received specialty training at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute at Ohio University in the fields of urogynecology and maternal fetal medicine.  She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Diane M. Sober, MD received her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Allegheny General Hospital and The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Ingrid A. Wecht, MD graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.  She is a member of the Allegheny County Medical Society as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

  ejm   Emily J. McCormish, CRNP

Nurse Practitioner Emily J. McCormish has specialized in office-based Obstetrics and Gynecology after receiving her masters of Science in Nursing at Carlow University in 2011. As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is dedicated to providing each patient with compassionate comprehensive well-women care and problem focus evaluation for gynecologic problems. In addition, she is incredibly dedicated to providing the absolute best care for her obstetrical patients including Breast Feeding and Prenatal Education and Support. Emily practices collaboratively with Pittsburgh Gynob’s physicians, helping to ensure that each patient’s care is coordinated within our group practice. Emily has over eleven years of nursing experience which focused on the care of patients in Labor and Delivery, Gynecological Surgery, Med-Surgical, and Neonatal Intensive Care. She is extremely hardworking and excellence-driven in providing the best care to all patients. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau-Honor Society of Nursing(Inducted in 2000).

   susan   Susan G. Warshafsky, PA

Susan G. Warshafsky graduated in 2014 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine & her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies Prior to joining our practice in 2015. Susan has specialized in Critical Care Medicine at UPMC intensive care unit. Susan Practices collaboratively with Pittsburgh Gynob’s physicians to help provide compassionate, patient-centered, safe and effective quality care.
